Hi Folks
I'm having an issue with my rear camera, as soon as drive is selected you hear the rear camera open (no display on MBUX screen) then at approximately 22mph the rear camera flap closes. This issue continues throughout the journey, resulting in the camera flap opening many dozens of time in journey, its extremely annoying. I can across a calibration procedure on Internet, it calls for car to be driven at a specific speed with steering wheel not to turn past 10 degrees in rotation. This procedure resolves issue, the camera will only open when required, however, as soon as the car is switched off and then started the issue reoccurs.
Anyone else experienced this with their new C-Class?
Cheers
Kevin

Hey @Orange L, have you tried reaching out to your dealership about it? I wonder if it's a software version issue, something similar happened with W205 generation models and that seems to have fixed it.
Yes, this is the worst part about the whole issue. I reported this fault back in August, they received car at dealership, I sat for over 4 hours in there and they came back and said they are unsure why this is happening and will likely require an MBUX software update to resolve issue so a new appointment was made for November 21st!!! The following day after taking the car home the MBUX system did not operate at all, completely blank screen with no controls to any of internal fearures. While driving the car it was apparent the rear camera fault was still present, proving issue was not related to MBUX as it was completely shutdown. I tried calling dealer 3 or 4 times, kept being told the after sales reps where very busy and would call me back ASAP, they never called back, I sent two emails detailing what had happened since their inspection and troubleshooting, telling them I'd also found a calibration document online, it was for a different model but as stated in original message the procedure works perfectly but only temporarily resolves issue, I never received a reply to my emails either. Anyway, I had to return to work overseas had had no further time to waste, I finally returned and the car went in Monday past on 21st November, they had the car in and carried out MBUX software update, this took approximately 7 hours, as expected I was then told it made no difference at all. The guy asked if I could leave the car with them, he'd ordered a new camera and would fit it tomorrow. I drove home in their courtesy car. Unbelievably, yesterday they called to tell me the 'fault' was infact not a fault and the car was supposed to do this!! It's clear they have just run out of ideas and not competent in troubleshooting and resolving this issue, I basically told the guy he was speak utter rubbish and gave him several reasons to prove this. Currently I'm waiting for them to call today again, to see what nonsense they will come out with. This is my first Mercedes-Benz and by far the worst customer service/ aftercare I've ever experienced. The car is great, these faults happen but they way I've been treated by this specific dealer has been nothing short of a disgrace.

When I had my w206 delivered, the augmented reality sat nav and cameras were not working, and at best were intermittent. I took it to the dealer and after a bit this and that they replaced the control unit, a common fault they eventually said. Could be linked to your problem.
